Traditional braces are still the best and most efficient mean of moving teeth. Clear and gold braces work identical to traditional braces with a more esthetic approach. Extractions and Impacted teeth cases are best treated with braces vs clear aligners. We offer Traditional or metal braces, gold braces and clear braces for children and adults.

It is important to practice proper oral care in order to ensure cavities do not form during your Orthodontic treatment. You should always brush all 4 sides of the bracket after every meal. Teeth should also be flossed daily using the floss threader. Water flossers are great at flushing food away after meals. 

Braces are held on to the teeth with temporary dental composite "glue". These material are designed to fail at high forces in order to ensure no damage to the teeth at removal of braces. We understand food is delicious and want our patients to fully enjoy their day to day life with braces. All food can be eaten as long as good judgement is used to ensure forces are not high enough to detach the bracket from the tooth. Chips and fruits for example should be cut into smaller pieces and chewed with back teeth. Hard candy such as Jolly ranchers should not be crushed with teeth.
